On Saturday, a team captained by Rob Zijlstra and consisting of Ken Haines, Paul Butler, Vic Sageman, Dan Matthews, Marcus Green, Bill Denne and Janez Vipotnik, played our third Warren League match of this year. The result was a good 3-1 victory in a tough away fixture against Effingham Golf Club. This puts us in a great position, 3 matches and 3 wins. Well done to everyone involved.

Our next fixture is away to Banstead Downs on Saturday 26 April. The sheet is on the board, please put your name down or email wlsec@ccgc.co.uk. New members please get involved, its a great chance to meet people and play some competitive golf against other clubs.

On another winning note, Peter Marley and myself played the Surrey 4's at Banstead on Sunday. Despite trailing by 3 after 8 holes, and leading by 2 after 14 holes, we stood on the 18th tee all square, finally recording a victory on the first extra hole. Next up Wimbledon Park away...
